Hi all, My Ascent's CVT whines at all times - no matter if hot or cold - and pretty much at all RPMs (more noticeable above 2k) until road & wind noise drowns it out. I asked Subaru and they said this is completely normal and that it's the pump. I just noticed while driving at local speed below 40mph, sometimes I can hear low volume whining sound from front end, sounds like from passenge side. Mostly happen during cruising or decelerating.
